Homemade Apple Cinnamon Swirl Loaf

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 apple, peeled and finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the white sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour and baking powder, then add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in the milk until smooth.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture and half of the chopped apple over the batter. Pour in the remaining batter and top with the remaining cinnamon-sugar and apples. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixture for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
